Triple C Housing, Inc. Distributes 80 Backpacks and School Supplies to Families and Youth at the Truman Square Residence

The effort reached over 80 families at Pennrose’s Truman Square residential community.

EDISON, NEW JERSEY (August 18, 2022) – Triple C Housing, Inc. helped spread joy to the Truman Square residents with a “Back to School Preparations” event and distribution of 80 backpacks and school supplies.

Families registered for the event to learn about back to school tips and planning, as well as receive donated supplies and backpacks for the youth at Truman Square. Backpacks and school supplies were hand-picked and put together with love by the Triple C team, said Danielle Corbin, Regional Director at Triple C Housing, Inc.

This event was made possible by donations made by volunteer Jill Mesonas of Edison Township, along with a $500 donation from Anthony and Cheryl Russamano via the South Edison Community Association, and $500 from Melissa Perilstein of Edison Township and former business administrator! Triple C Housing matched the supplies and donations to expand our supply of backpacks. THANK YOU Jill, Anthony and Cheryl, and Melissa!!!

“Not only did we have over 40 families show up, but the youth were overjoyed and so happy to have brand new backpacks and supplies to start off the new school year,” said Deb Kaufman, Services Coordinator of Triple C Housing, Inc.

This community outreach event, allowed Triple C Housing, Inc. to share their mission and role with community members.

“It’s clear that communities need engaging activities like this to support our youth, and I hope we can find ways to continue to put on events like this in the future,” said Corbin.
